Chest 1 was a Black Chest picked for Disintegrator, Chest 2 picked for who the hell cares, I just picked 2 Black Chests in one run! Disintegrator kills the High Priest quickly enough that I only take 4 hits.įloor 5 was a showcase where I entered a room, shot the BSG, and finished whatever survived with the Void Marshal. I completely empty the Carbine and most of the Void Marshal clearing this floor. I had 234 bullets going into Floor 4, so I use the BSG to insta-clear rooms until I get 240 and immediately finish the Elevator. Boss is Treadnaught and I somehow manage to survive by spamming the Void Marshal he coughs up no keys and Megahand. Chest 1 picked for Pink Guon Stone, Chest 2 is a Black Chest that I hope to get a 6th Key for from the boss. I actually eat 2 hits from Gorgun and get nothing good from it.įloor 3 was absolutely awful I nearly emptied the Carbine and still went into the boss with 2 hearts (one of which was bought, putting me below 240 bullets) and 1 Blank. Chest 1 fails for Junk, Chest 2 picked for Alien Engine. He coughs up Hegemony Carbine and Ammo for the Void Marshal.įloor 2 was really slow because the Pilot's pistol is so freaking bad. I take 2 hits from the boss that I really shouldn't have taken, but I had to kill it with just the friggin' flare gun. Chest 1 fails for junk, Chest 2 picked for Bug Boots. I use the Void Marshal on nearly every room in the Oubliette. I pick the 2nd lock to the Oubliette(!) and drop down for the keys and bullets. I eat 2 hits from the Gatling Gull, but he coughs up the Void Marshal. Chest 1 picked for Flare Gun, Chest 2 fails for Junk. His pistol is unbelievably bad: its short range and awful ROF look amazing compared to its shockingly poor accuracy.įloor 1 was pretty smooth. I only chose the pilot because I've had severe trouble getting the bullets and keys to unlock the Elevator to 4, and his Lockpicks give me a better chance of actually making it down there alive. Starter guns can no longer be used to reveal secret doors (hit VFX is now the normal wall hit effect)ĭisappointed about the change of revealing secrets with the starter guns! Increased quality tier of the Fightsabre (less likely to spawn in low level chests)įixed an issue where collecting an NPC cell key while it was falling into a pit broke the keyįixed an issue where the SMASH tent event could be interrupted by enemy gunfireįixed an issue where Lost Adventurer progress was not being tracked correctlyįixed an issue where Gunsling King progress was being tracked twice per successįixed an issue where Great Hall progress notifications were popping up everytime the Breach loaded
Players can no longer be set on fire while ethereal Players can no longer teleport in coop while one player is interacting with a shrine or NPC Lowered the difficulty of the Treadnaught (explosive shot now has a minimum range, homing rocket is slightly slower, adds no longer lead their shots)Īdded d3d11 support (which may help some players with black screen and map issues)įixed an issue where enemies could spawn in unreachable locations I killed both of the Twins in less than 2 minutes using just that gun. Aim in boss's general direction, fire, and dodge like a mad man. I also wish I could get the proton pack on every run. That extra heart makes all the difference down there.Īnd I've never even tried to get the armor piece to the altar. Yeah i've never completed the garbage level (Floor 1.5, the Oubliette or whatever), but from what I've heard/read you should most definitely complete floor 1 boss if you can without taking a hit. While I'm sure there are people who are blowing through the entire game with nothing but the starting sidearm, I need the boost of a good gun - otherwise the fights go on too long and my dodging is still subpar enough that the hits will start to rack up. I find that getting a good weapon before you hit the first boss is almost mandatory. and died (although the second time I did manage to get it down to half health - which isn't bad since I went into the fight with only a half heart!) I briefly, briefly, held the item needed to go down to floor 2.5 (it acts like armor, so if you take even a single hit, it's gone.) I think the best way to work that is to finish up the entire floor first, then come back after defeating the boss, so that all you need to do is get through however much of floor 2 flawlessly before you manage to find the crypt room. (The achievement graph tells me that I've completed floor 1 18 times, floor 2 5 times, and never finished 3)
I've gotten to the point where I can pretty much always beat the first boss (two flawless victories thus far), and - should I manage to clear out level 2, I can usually beat the boss.
